The Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center (HKEC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Quoc V. Tran (McCombs MBA, 2022) as its new Entrepreneur in Residence. With an extensive background as an entrepreneur and CFO, Quoc brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this vital role.

Quoc V. Tran is a seasoned entrepreneur and founder based in Austin, Texas, where he has made significant contributions to the startup ecosystem. He has established himself as a technical and financial advisor, providing invaluable guidance to small businesses and startups seeking to navigate the complexities of growth and sustainability.

As the CFO of FarBridge, Inc., Quoc is instrumental in managing the financial and operational aspects of a startup dedicated to creating games and immersive experiences. His strategic financial insights have played a crucial role in driving the growth and success of FarBridge, Inc. in the competitive tech landscape.

In addition to his current role, Quoc has a remarkable history of involvement with various startups. One of his notable ventures was the development of a no-code mobile-app creation platform that skyrocketed to an impressive 100 million monthly active users (MAU). At its peak, this platform powered a remarkable 11% of all apps on the iOS App Store, showcasing Quoc’s remarkable acumen in the tech industry.

More recently, Quoc founded SURVIVR, a groundbreaking startup that empowered police trainees to learn critical life-or-death skills in a secure virtual reality environment. Not only did he provide strategic advisory services to SURVIVR, but he also assumed the role of VP of Operations. Ultimately, Quoc led the acquisition process of SURVIVR when the company was purchased by a prominent private equity firm, underlining his capabilities in deal-making and strategic leadership.

With a blend of financial expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven track record of success, Quoc V. Tran is poised to make a significant impact as the Entrepreneur in Residence at the Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center.
